Meet 2007 Asian Scholar

The Asian Scholarship Program was initiated in the fall of 2000 through the New York Turtle and Tortoise Society who sponsors students from Asia to learn about the Wetlands Institute’s Diamondback Terrapin Conservation Project. The Asian Scholars participate in community-based conservation programs, which provides them skills that they can take back home to their country and apply them to conserving their local turtle species.
