The Stockton field hockey team dipped to 1-1 on the season with a 6-0 loss at King’s College. The Monarchs, ranked 20th in the final 2005 NFHCA national poll, dominated the game on their home field. King’s outshot Stockton 24-4 and held a 20-5 advantage in penalty corners. Stockton goalkeeper Caitlin Nolan (Riverside/Holy Cross) faced heavy pressure and finished with 15 saves.

The contest was scoreless for the first 12-plus minutes before King’s broke through with its first goal. Stockton went on to yield two more tallies in the first half and three in the second stanza for the 6-0 loss. Alison Capelli (Mt. Holly/ Rancocas Valley), Kristen Woodrow (West Deptford/West Deptford), Aimee Rendine (West Milford/West Milford) and Gabrielle Palermo (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) each registered one shot on goal for the Ospreys.
