The Stockton field hockey team concluded its 2006 season with a 5-0 loss to second-ranked College of New Jersey. The Ospreys finished the season at 7-11, equaling their highest win total in the program’s four-year history. Stockton also finished fifth in the NJAC with a 2-4 record.

Goalkeeper Caitlin Nolan (Riverside/Holy Cross) faced an onslaught of shots from and registered 19 saves in the game. The Lions, the 2006 NJAC champions, scored twice in the first half and added three more tallies in the second half to pull away and win 5-0.

The game was the final contest for seniors Alison Capelli (Mt. Holly/Rancocas Valley), Mary Kate Goldy (Pennsauken/Pennsauken), Kristen Woodrow (West Deptford/West Deptford), Aimee Rendine (West Milford/West Milford), Sarah Stafford (Pennsville/Pennsville), Katie Walsh (Collingswood/Collingswood) and Caitlin Nolan who were members of Stockton’s first field hockey recruiting class and the program’s first four-year letter winners.
