Boxscore
The Stockton field hockey team fell short in a 2-1 loss to 17th-ranked Kean in its NJAC opener. The Ospreys took an early lead but Kean answered with a pair of goals for the 2-1 final. Courtney Clemens (Bordentown/Bordentown) scored an unassisted goal for Stockton and goalkeeper Caitlin Nolan (Riverside/Holy Cross) recorded nine saves in the game.

All three goals were scored in the first half. Clemens slapped home a loose ball to give Stockton a 1-0 lead just 2:19 into the game. Kean tied the match at 1-1 on a low blast from the top of the arc at 15:03 and scored the game-winner at 31:58 to go ahead 2-1. Stockton had multiple last-ditch chances to tie the game late, but the Ospreys could penetrate the Kean defense. Kristen Woodrow (West Deptford/West Deptford) took a shot that was saved with just five ticks remaining and then the Ospreys were unable to convert either of two penalty corners with no time on the clock.
