Boxscore
The Stockton field hockey team upset 11th-ranked and previously undefeated Montclair State 2-1 in an NJAC game. The Ospreys won their third consecutive game and ended Montclair’s seven-game winning streak. Courtney Clemens (Bordentown/Bordentown) and Jen Jones (Hammonton/St. Joseph) scored one goal apiece and Caitlin Nolan (Riverside/Holy Cross) made 11 saves for the Ospreys.

Clemens scored the only goal of the first half with an assist by Alison Capelli (Mt. Holly/Rancocas Valley) for a 1-0 Stockton lead just 8:18 into the game. Nolan stopped two penalty strokes in the half and the Ospreys held onto the 1-0 lead at the break.

Stockton doubled its lead when Jones scored with an assist from Kristen Woodrow (West Deptford/West Deptford) at 49:34, but Montclair responded with a tally at 52:55 to trim the margin to one-goal at 2-1. Despite advantages of 13-7 in shots and a whopping 23-2 in penalty corners for Montclair in the game, Stockton was able to hold off the Red Hawks and complete the upset, 2-1.
