The Stockton field hockey team was blanked 4-0 by fifth-ranked Rowan in its 2005 season finale. Despite the loss, the Ospreys established a new standard with seven wins (7-10) during the season after notching six victories in each of their first two years of intercollegiate competition. Stockton goalkeeper Caitlin Nolan (Riverside/Holy Cross) faced an onslaught as Rowan outshot the Ospreys 45-7, and Nolan made a career-high 30 saves. The Profs scored first-half goals at 27:37 and 33:13 for a 2-0 lead at intermission and they added tallies at 42:01 and 60:30 to deal Stockton the 4-0 defeat.
