Richard Stockton (1-0) tipped off the season with a 71-59 victory over Neumann (0-1). Freshman Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) scored a game-high 16 points in her first college game. Aliyah Nelson (Pleasantville/St. Joseph) went 10-12 (83.3%) at the free throw line and finished with 15 points. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) contributed 11 points and eight rebounds while Kristin Sciarrillo (Edison/Edison) grabbed a game-high 10 boards.

Price-Perry hit two three-pointers and scored a total of 10 points as Stockton jumped out to a 17-4 lead in the first nine minutes. The margin grew to 21 points at 28-7 after a pair of free throws by Sciarrillo with 7:21 on the first-half clock, and the Ospreys held a 36-22 advantage at intermission. Price-Perry led all scorers with 10 points and Neumann shot just 5-33 (15.2%) in the period.

Stockton led by double digits for all but six seconds of the second half, including a 20-point bulge on three occasions. A jumper by Nelson put the Ospreys up 49-29 with 14:28 to play and they coasted down the stretch. Neumann briefly closed the gap to nine points with 1:04 remaining, but Nelson responded with two free throws at the 58-second mark and Stockton closed out the 71-59 triumph.
