Richard Stockton (5-1, 1-0 NJAC) won its fourth consecutive game as five Ospreys scored in double figures, leading Stockton to a 88-62 win over New Jersey City (0-6, 0-1) in the NJAC opener. Aliyah Nelson (Pleasantville/St. Joseph) scored seven of Stockton’s first nine points as the Ospreys began the game on a 26-5 run and never looked back in the victory.

Stockton led by as much as 27 points and shot 60 percent from the field in the first half en route to a 50-27 lead at the break. Nelson paced the balanced Stockton attack with 10 points in the period. In the second half, the margin peaked at 29 points on a basket by Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) that put the Ospreys ahead 59-30 with 17:19 remaining and Stockton coasted to the 88-62 win.

Nelson finished with career highs of 20 points and six rebounds. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) scored 17 points while Fagan added 15 points and a game-high seven boards. Che`Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) tossed in 13 points and Noelle Hogan (Mullica Hill/Clearview) hit double figures for the first time in her career with 11 points to round out the Osprey assault.
