Richard Stockton (6-4, 2-0) halted a three-game slide with a 77-66 victory over Rutgers-Camden (2-9, 0-3) as NJAC play resumed in the new year. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/ Overbrook) scored a game-high 18 points by shooting 7-10 from the floor and a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line. Che’Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) posted her first career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) tossed in 13 points.

After Rutgers-Camden scored the opening basket with 50 seconds elapsed, Stockton took control of the game with 14 unanswered points, including eight by Thompson. The impressive rookie later capped an eight-point Stockton outburst with a jumper that resulted in a 26-13 lead. Stockton led by as much as 16 in the first half before settling for a 40-27 advantage at the break behind 12 points from Thompson and a 35-15 rebounding edge that included 20 offensive boards.

The Ospreys stayed ahead by double digits for the entire second half. Price-Perry drained a three-pointer at the 16:10 mark to give Stockton its biggest lead at 51-33. Price-Perry and Oliver scored eight points apiece in the second half as the Ospreys registered their second-highest point total of the season and rolled to the 77-66 win.
