Richard Stockton (11-3) dominated the second half and defeated Hunter (7-8) 99-90 for its fifth consecutive win. Omar Smith (Newark/Central) exploded for game highs of 28 points and 10 rebounds in registering his second double-double of the season. Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI) scored 20 points followed by Michael Farrow (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) with 19 points and DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden Co. Tech) with 11 points.

In the second half, Stockton shot 62 percent from the floor including 4-5 from three-point range while outscoring Hunter 61-45. After four ties in the period, Stockton took the lead for good at 74-72 on a three-pointer by Farrow with 8:17 left. The Ospreys clinched the victory with a late 11-1 run that began with a Farrow jumper for two more of his 15 second-half points. The spurt ended with Lancioni hitting four of five free throws in the last half-minute to seal the 99-90 win.

The first half was highlighted by a pair of runs as Stockton broke out to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes. Hunter controlled the latter stage of the half, using a 10-2 spurt to take a 38-28 lead with 4:18 on the clock. Smith closed the scoring in the period with a jumper at the 11-second mark for the last of his 16 first-half points, but the Ospreys went 0-8 from three-point range and trailed 45-38 at intermission.
