Boxscore
Richard Stockton (11-10) had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 67-58 defeat to Baruch (19-4) in the Ospreys’ first game since January 31. Stockton was hampered by poor shooting, 30.9% from the field, with the exception of LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) who went 9-12 for a team-high 18 points. Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) posted her fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Aliyah Nelson (Pleasantville/St. Joseph) also scored 12 points.

Stockton took its biggest lead of the game at 19-13 after back-to-back three-pointers by Che’Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) and Nelson. The six-point gap proved to be the largest of a tight first half that included four ties. After a layup by Oliver put the Ospreys ahead 26-25 with 5:17 left in the period, Baruch closed the half with an 8-3 run and led 33-29 at the break. Oliver paced Stockton with 10 points on perfect 5-5 shooting.

Although the Ospreys stayed close throughout the second half, they never managed to regain the lead. Stockton closed a seven-point deficit down to two at 47-45 after consecutive baskets by Oliver, but Baruch responded with a 6-0 spurt. Stockton later got within two points again at 57-55 on a three-pointer by Nelson with 4:13 to play, however the Ospreys scored just three points the rest of the way, all on free throws by Fagan, and fell 67-58.
