RACHEL JOSEPH NAMED NJAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK |
Richard Stockton senior Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) was named the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week. Joseph won the pole vault at an NCAA provisional qualifying height of 3.50 meters (11’5.75”) at the Collegiate Track Conference Championship on Saturday. The senior also ran a leg for Stockton’s 4x400 relay, which finished seventh out of 15 with a time of 4:17.34. Joseph’s performances helped Stockton to a third-place finish out of 21 teams.
Joseph won the pole vault by six inches over the second-place competitor for her first victory of the season. She was named the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time her career combining indoor and outdoor track & field. Joseph is the defending NJAC champion in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors. She will try to repeat as the league indoor champion when Stockton competes in the NJAC Championships at New York Armory on February 22. |
