Men's Results / Women's Results
The Richard Stockton men’s cross country team won the Osprey Open while the Osprey women’s team won the NJAIAW Championship for a sweep on the Stockton campus. The victories were the second in a row for both squads. Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s 6k race by 1:04 (18:52.29) for his ninth career victory. Three Stockton runners finished in the top 10 overall. Jim Codianni (Medford/ Shawnee) placed fourth (20:03.64) and Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) was eighth (20:23.98).
Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) finished third in the women’s 6k race (23:48.99) to lead a group of five Stockton runners in the top 10. Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) finished fifth (25:00.82) and Morgan Sinclair (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) was seventh (25:49.20) for the Ospreys. Jill Leaness (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh) followed in eighth place (26:11.16) and Nicole Salge (Spotswood/Spotswood) was 10th (26:38.22) to complete the list of top 10 runners for Stockton.
