Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s 8K race at the DeSales Invitational with a time of 26:28.49 for his third victory of the season and 10th of his career at Stockton. Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) posted a top-10 finish in the women’s 6k race, placing 10th with a time of 23:58.19. In team competition, the Stockton men finished ninth out of 24 teams while the Osprey women placed 13th out of 21 squads.

Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) crossed the finish line 28th in the men’s race with a time of 28:00.88. Nearly seven seconds later, Jim Codianni (Medford/Shawnee) followed with a time of 28:07.08 for 34th place out of 277 runners.

Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) was the second Stockton runner to finish the women’s race, placing 51st at 25:51.89. Nicole Salge (Spotswood/Spotswood) also finished in the top half of the 198-runner field as she crossed the line at the 27:26.47 mark for 92nd place.
