Akhtar's Win Leads Stockton at CTC Championships

Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s 8K race at the CTC Championships with a time of 25:27 for his fourth victory of the season and 11th of his career. Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) finished second in the women’s 5K race with a time of 19:15 for her fifth top-10 finish of the year.

In team competition, Stockton placed third out of 12 women’s squads while the Osprey men finished fourth out of 12 teams at the meet. The CTC Championships were held at Gloucester County College.

In the men’s race, Jim Codianni (Medford/Shawnee) finished 12th at 27:15 and Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) was 19th with a time of 27:36. Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/ Bound Brook) placed 25th in the women’s race with a time of 21:25, followed by Jill Leaness (Plymouth Meeting/Plymouth Whitemarsh) in 26th place at 21:29 for the Ospreys.
