Boxscore
Richard Stockton (1-0) opened the 2010-11 season in spectacular fashion, rolling over Neumann (0-1) 83-63 with five players scoring in double figures. The Ospreys received double-doubles from LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) who scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) with 10 points and game-high 15 rebounds, and freshman Lauren Alwan (Winslow/ Timber Creek), who tallied 10 points and 10 boards in her college debut.

Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) added 14 points and a career-high seven assists. Stockton’s inside game proved too strong for Neumann as the Ospreys scored 58 points in the paint and shot 52 percent from the field in the win.

Stockton raced out to a 16-5 lead behind Che`Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) who netted five of her 18 points in the first eight minutes. The margin ballooned to 19 after a layup by Fagan put Stockton ahead 40-21 with 4:08 remaining in the first half. Another layup by Fagan with 2:48 on the clock gave the Ospreys a 44-25 advantage, but Neumann scored the last seven points of the period to pull within 44-32. Thompson led Stockton with 11 first-half points.

Neumann continued to rally at the start of the second half, using an 11-5 spurt to get as close as six at 49-43. Stockton regained control of the game with a seven-point burst that ended with consecutive jumpers by Oliver for a 56-43 lead. Oliver later sparked another seven-point run with a basket for two more of her 13 second-half points and Price-Perry began an 8-0 run in the closing minutes with a three-point play as Stockton put the game out of reach and won the season opener 83-63.
