Boxscore Stockton led by six points twice, both on three-pointers by Mike Pendleton (Pennsauken/Pennsauken), in a close first half that featured six ties and ended fittingly at 26-26. Massaquoi led all players with 12 first-half points and Pendleton gave the Ospreys a boost off the bench with a pair of treys. Stockton went cold in the second half, shooting just 22.7 percent from the floor. The Ospreys led 39-36 after a layup by Pat Kelly (Cape May CH/Wildwood Catholic), but Delaware Valley answered with a 15-2 run as Stockton scored only on two Massaquoi free throws in the next eight minutes. The resulting 10-point deficit was too much to overcome. The Ospreys closed the gap to three with just 17 seconds to play but missed a game-tying three-pointer with nine ticks left and fell 54-51. |
