Richard Stockton (7-2, 3-0 NJAC) pulled away late and topped Ramapo (7-2, 0-2) 63-50 for its second NJAC victory in four days. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) owned the paint with 19 points on 9-12 shooting plus 12 rebounds and seven blocks, all game highs.

Aliyah Nelson (Pleasantvile/St. Joseph) tossed in 11 points while Lauren Alwan (Winslow/Timber Creek) contributed 10 points and a game-high six steals. The Ospreys shot 51.1% from the floor and shared the ball for 15 assists on 24 field goals, led by Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) with five helpers.

The teams played a close first half that saw eight lead changes in the first 12 minutes before Stockton took control. Oliver netted three of her 15 first-half points during a 5-0 spurt that gave the Ospreys a 19-15 edge. Price-Perry propelled a 9-1 run with five points as the lead increased to 32-23 before Ramapo cut into Stockton’s advantage with the last two baskets of the half for a 32-27 count at the break.

In the second half, Ramapo battled back to take a 45-44 lead but then went scoreless for nine minutes. Stockton took advantage of the drought as Nelson and Alwan scored six points apiece for 12 unanswered markers that put the Ospreys on top 56-45 with 4:47 remaining. After neither played scored in the first half, Nelson and Alwan tallied 11 and 10 points respectively in the second stanza as the duo spurred Stockton to the 63-50 win.
