In its first game since December 18, Richard Stockton (7-4) shot just 25.5 percent (14-55) from the field and fell to Lebanon Valley (9-1) 64-34 in the first round of the Hoops for Hounds Classic at Lycoming College. Noelle Hogan (Mullica Hill/Clearview) and Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) shared team high honors with nine points apiece.

Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) contributed six points on Stockton’s only two three-pointers of the game. No other player on the team tallied more than two points. The Ospreys went just 2-20 (10%) from beyond the arc in scoring a season-low 34 points. They also hit just four of 11 from the free throw line (36.4%).

Fagan hit two early buckets to help Stockton jump out to a 6-0 lead. Price-Perry later sank a three-pointer to put the Ospreys ahead 20-19, but they were outscored 17-2 over the last seven minutes of the first half and trailed 36-22 at the break. Stockton then scored just 12 points in the second half in suffering its second straight loss, 64-34.
