Richard Stockton (5-4) traveled to the College of Staten Island  for the Staten Island Tournament of Heroes and dropped a close game to Anderson (IN) (6-3) 73-70 after mounting a late rally that fell just short. The Ospreys trailed by double digits in each half but nearly came back to win.

After falling behind by 12, Stockton trailed by nine at 34-25 at the half with Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) scoring 11 of his game-high 19 points to keep the Ospreys close.

In the second half, Anderson stretched their lead to as many as 10 points before an Osprey 19-9 run tied it at 55 on a Kevin Johnson (Paulsboro/Paulsboro) jumper with eight minutes remaining. Stockton tied the game twice more, the second time on a layup by Massaquoi with three minutes left, but Anderson was able to outscore the Ospreys down the stretch for the 73-70 final.

Johnson scored a career-high 12 points. Nnamdi Usuwa (Colonia/Colonia) and Pat Kelly (Cape May Court House/Wildwood Catholic) each chipped in with 11 points. Usuwa snatched a game-high eight rebounds as well.
