In the consolation game of the Staten Island Tournament of Heroes, Richard Stockton (6-4) recovered from the previous day’s loss and defeated the University of Dallas (2-9) 70-39, ending 2010 on a positive note. Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/ Haddon Heights) scored 12 points and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden County Tech) hit for 10 markers. Mike Pendleton (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) pulled down a career-high eight rebounds while adding nine points. Pat Kelly (Cape May Court House/Wildwood Catholic) also scored nine points and 11 Ospreys cracked the scoring column in the blowout win.

Massaquoi scored five early points as Stockton raced out to a 15-2 lead in the first six minutes. The margin ballooned to 30 at 40-10 on a three-pointer by Kelly before the Ospreys settled for a 42-17 advantage at the break. Massaquoi and Brown netted 10 first-half points apiece.

The Stockton reserves took over in the second half and the Ospreys never looked back, leading by at least 23 for the entire period. Pendleton led the way with all nine of his points after intermission. Eleven Ospreys played 10 or more minutes in the game as the Ospreys cruised to the 70-39 rout.
