Richard Stockton (8-4) won the Blue Jay Invitational at Johns Hopkins with an 82-77 victory over Keene State (9-2). Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) led a group of five Ospreys in double figures with a game-high 19 points plus eight rebounds, and he was named tournament MVP.

Pat Kelly (Cape May CH/Wildwood Catholic) scored 15 points and earned All-Tournament honors. DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden Co. Tech) also netted a season-high 15 points in Stockton’s third consecutive win.

Nnamdi Usuwa (Colonia/Colonia) posted a double-double of 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while Matt Haddix (Sicklerville/Vineland) also tossed in 10 points.

The Ospreys trailed 21-9 before unleashing a 33-12 onslaught over the next 10 minutes. Kelly and Massaquoi scored eight points apiece during the run. Massaquoi topped all players with 12 first-half points and Stockton led 42-35 at the break.

In the second half, Brown sparked a 9-1 run with five points as the Ospreys extended their lead to 73-57 with 6:38 to play. Keene State rallied to within 75-73, but Massaquoi sank two free throws for a four-point cushion with a minute remaining.

After Keene State again cut the gap to two, Massaquoi responded with a three-point play for an 80-75 edge. Keene State hit two free throws and Kelly answered with two from the stripe to clinch the 82-77 victory.
