Boxscore Nnamdi Usuwa (Colonia/Colonia) tossed in 14 points and Mike Pendleton (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) finished with a season-high 10 points for Stockton, which shot 56.1 percent from the floor (23-41) and 77.8 percent (14-18) at the free throw line for the game. Brown scored five points and Pendleton added four free throws as the Ospreys closed the first half with a 9-2 spurt. Brown netted 12 points in the period without missing a shot (5-5 FG, 1-1 FT) and Stockton connected at 59.1 percent from the floor. TCNJ stayed close with 12 points off 10 Stockton turnovers, but the Ospreys led 36-31 at the break. Usuwa scored seven of his 10 second-half points during a 17-8 run that resulted in a 53-41 Stockton lead before TCNJ roared back to tie the game at 61 with 3:12 to play. Ibn Moye (Toms River/Central Regional) drained a three-pointer with 1:47 on the clock that snapped the tie and put the Ospreys ahead for good at 64-61. The Lions cut the margin to one with a basket at the 1:09 mark but Massaquoi hit two free throws and Usuwa added one as Stockton held on for the 67-63 triumph. |
