Boxscore
After trailing for over 36 minutes, Richard Stockton (14-6, 7-2 NJAC) came from behind to defeat Rutgers-Camden (9-12, 2-8) 47-46 as Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) scored on a layup with 5.1 seconds remaining for the narrow victory. Fagan was the only Stockton player in double figures, finishing with a game-high 14 points, including 10 in the second half.

The Scarlet Raptors took advantage of sloppy play on the part of the Ospreys, who committed 13 first-half turnovers and trailed 25-20 heading into the locker room.

In addition to the miscues, Stockton shot just 8-28 (28.6%) from the floor and 0-7 from three-point range during the period. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) kept the Ospreys close with seven points and seven rebounds.

After Rutgers-Camden stretched the lead to eight at 37-29 with just over 10 minutes remaining, Stockton picked up their defense, holding the Scarlet Raptors to just nine points and forcing 11 turnovers the rest of the way.

Rutgers-Camden led 46-41 with 2:41 to play, but Fagan netted the last six points of the game, including the winning hoop with 5.1 ticks on the clock. Rutgers-Camden shot an open 15-footer at the buzzer that was off the mark as Stockton prevailed 47-46.

In addition to Fagan’s game-high 14 points, Oliver, Noelle Hogan (Mullica Hill/Clearview) and Lauren Alwan (Winslow/Timber Creek) each added seven points. Oliver pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds as well. Fagan was honored before the game for scoring her 1,000th point last week.
