Richard Stockton (15-7, 7-3 NJAC) was overwhelmed by second-ranked Kean (19-3, 10-1) in the first 10 minutes and fell 77-56, ending the Ospreys’ three-game winning streak.

Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) scored a team-high 13 points, followed by Che’Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) with 11 points and Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Thompson registered Stockton’s only points in the first nine minutes of play with a tip-in as Kean stormed to an insurmountable 22-2 lead. The Ospreys were unable to get closer than 17 points for the rest of the period as the Cougars continued to dominate.

Stockton trailed 39-13 at the end of a difficult first half in which the Ospreys committed 21 turnovers and shot just 4-22 (18.2%) from the field. Nancy White (Ocean City/Ocean City) was the high scorer with four points in the period.

The teams exchanged points throughout a fast-paced second half that saw Stockton outscore Kean 43-38 for the period. Price-Perry scored all 13 of her points while Thompson and Fagan netted nine points apiece after intermission. Despite the increased offensive production, the Ospreys never were able to cut their large deficit to less than 19 points as they moved toward the 77-56 defeat.
