Game 1 / Game 2
Richard Stockton (9-1) began its spring trip to Florida by sweeping a doubleheader from Salve Regina (RI) by scores of 8-0 and 4-3. The Ospreys increased their current winning streak to eight games with the two victories.

Drew Holt (Toms River/TR South) pitched a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and Travis Marra (Toms River/TR East) went 3-4 with an RBI in the opener.

The Ospreys manufactured all of the runs that they needed in the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead on a bases-loaded walk to Shawn Kessler (Bayville/ Central Regional) and a fielder’s choice RBI from Dan McGuckin (Sicklerville/Winslow Twp.). In the third frame, Kessler stroked an RBI single and Nick Scalise (Northfield/ Mainland) added a two-run single to increase the lead 5-0 on the way to the 8-0 victory.

Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) and Barry Larro (Cedarville/Cumberland) each went 2-3 with an RBI while Marra contributed a triple and a run scored in the nightcap. Winning pitcher Gage Mick (Bridgeton/Cumberland) allowed three runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in six innings. John Lightbody (Toms River/TR East) pitched a scoreless seventh inning for his fifth save of the season.

The Ospreys snapped a 2-2 tie on RBI singles by McGuckin and Mike Bush (Manahawkin/ Southern) in the bottom of the fourth. Salve Regina pulled within 4-3 with a run in the sixth frame, but Stockton held on for its eighth straight win.
