Richard Stockton (12-4) dropped a pair of games to 14th-ranked College of St. Scholastica (MN) by scores of 5-4 and 6-1, marking the first time this season that the Ospreys lost consecutive games.

In the opener, St. Scholastica took a 3-2 lead with three runs in the top of the eighth but Stockton scored twice in the bottom half for a 4-3 edge.

Nick Scalise (Northfield/Mainland) notched an RBI on a squeeze bunt and Travis Marra (Toms River/TR East) scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. The Saints came back with two runs in the top of the ninth to defeat Stockton 5-4.

Marra, Scalise and Jason Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) each registered one hit, one run and one RBI but Stockton was held to just four hits in the game.

The Ospreys fell behind 4-0 in the first three innings of the nightcap before getting on the board with an RBI single by Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) in the top of the fourth. Stockton did not score again and managed just six hits total in the 6-1 defeat. Wasco went 2-2 with an RBI and Shawn Kessler (Bayville/Central Regional) was 1-3 with a double and a run scored.
