Stockton Wins 11 Events in Osprey Open |

Results Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s 800m (1:57.76) and 1500m (3:59.52) while Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) won the women’s 800m (2:22.24) and 1500m (4:56.86). In the women’s throwing events, Mahogany Mitchell (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) won the weight throw (48.66m) and Jill Shaner (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) captured the javelin (42.70m). Amanda Williams (Williamstown/Williamstown) won the high jump (1.60m) and Nikki Stratton (Stratford/Sterling) took the long jump (5.10m). Stockton also won two women’s distance events as Morgan Sinclair (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) crossed the finish line first in the 10,000m (41:29.59) and Barbara Prokopiuk (Jackson/Jackson) took the 3000m steeplechase (12:19.65). Ben Hammond (Williamstown/Williamstown) won the men’s triple jump (13.87m) for the Ospreys as well. The Stockton men’s team also registered a number of second-place finishes. On the track, runners-up were Jim Codianni (Medford/Shawnee) behind Akhtar in the 1500m (4:18.50), Mitchell Berlin (Cherry Hill/CH West) in the 10,000m (34:01.88) and Randy Faiges (Bayville/Central Regional) in the 3000m steeplechase (10:33.18). Second place in field events went to Jose Ramos (Vineland/Vineland) in the pole vault (3.95m), Kevin Miller (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) in the discus (41.36m) and Wes Warriner (Pleasantville/Holy Spirit) in the hammer throw (41.09m). For the Osprey women’s team, Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) finished second behind Evangelist in the 800m (2:27.99) and Stephanie Fegan (Woodcliff Lake/ Pascack Hills) was second in the shot put (10.95m). |
