Richard Stockton (16-10, 2-6 NJAC) was edged 4-3 by 26th-ranked Rowan (19-6-1, 7-1) in 10 innings for Stockton’s second loss to the Profs in as many days.

The Ospreys outhit Rowan 11-8 after managing just one hit the day before. Shawn Kessler (Bayville/Central Regional) went 2-4 with a run and an RBI while Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) was 2-4 with an RBI.

Stockton erased a 1-0 deficit with three runs in the top of the sixth. Kessler and Wedding each stroked RBI singles and Mike Bush (Manahawkin/ Southern) earned an RBI with a sacrifice bunt. Rowan tied the game with single runs in the sixth and seventh frames. The Ospreys threatened in the last two innings of regulation, but they left two runners on base each time.

After Stockton was retired in order in the top of the 10th, Rowan scored a run on two hits in the bottom half to defeat the Ospreys 4-3. Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) and Nick Scalise (Northfield/Mainland) also finished with two hits apiece, and Wasco scored a run as well.
