STOCKTON DUMPED BY MARYMOUNT 79-66 |

Richard Stockton (8-4, 1-2 NJAC) saw their losing skid extended to three straight as visiting Marymount (6-9) out-rebounded the Ospreys 49-29 and took the contest by a 79-66 final score. The Saints extended their winning streak to three consecutive games. Katelyn Fischer scored 10 of her game-high 25 points during the first half, leading Marymount to a 38-35 lead at the break. Stockton trailed most of the period as the Saints led by as many as nine points before the Ospreys rallied back. Stockton briefly went ahead 31-30 after a three-pointer by Alex Nardoza (Woodbridge/Woodbridge) with 2:40 remaining before the Saints took the halftime advantage. The Ospreys came out strong in the second half, beginning the period with a 10-3 run that was highlighted by two three-pointers from Brittany Muniz (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill East) for a 45-41 advantage. Stockton led 51-50 with 13:40 remaining before Marymount ran off nine straight points, including five by Fischer, for a 59-51 lead and the Saints never trailed again on the way to the 79-66 triumph. Muniz led Stockton with 16 points. Freshman Kelsey Brown (Washington Twp./ Washington Twp.) scored a career-high 15 points while LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/ Overbrook) chipped in with 12 points and Aspen Price- Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) added 10. Oliver also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. In addition to Fischer’s 25 markers, the Saints got 15 points from Dominique Dickens and 11 from Jackie Bohenek. Fischer and Samantha Kane grabbed 10 boards each. Fischer also dished out six assists and had three steals in a strong all-around performance to lead Marymount. |
