STOCKTON EDGES ROWAN 71-68

Richard Stockton (12-4, 4-2 NJAC) edged Rowan (6-10, 1-5) 71-68 for its fourth consecutive win. Aspen Price-Perry (Lindenwold/Lindenwold) led the Ospreys with team highs of 17 points and four steals.

LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) tallied 15 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season. Lauren Alwan (Winslow/Timber Creek) contributed 12 points and eight caroms off the bench.

Stockton dominated the glass with the 57-42 rebound margin. The Ospreys snagged 23 offensive boards, including seven by Kelsey Brown (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.), and they converted those opportunities into 20 second-chance points.

Rowan led by as much as 11 in the first half before Stockton scored the final 12 markers of the period to take its first lead of the game, 28-27 at the break. Six Ospreys scored points during the late surge. Brittany Muniz (Cherry Hill/CH East) led the balanced Stockton offense with two three-pointers for a team-high six first-half points.

Rowan went back on top early in the second half but the Ospreys took the lead during a 13-2 run that put them ahead 45-37 with 13:29 on the clock. Oliver and Alwan scored four points apiece during the spurt. The Profs answered with a 10-2 salvo that tied the game 47-47 three minutes later.

Stockton then seized control by scoring 11 consecutive points for a 58-47 lead as Oliver and Price-Perry led the charge with five and four markers respectively. Although Rowan pulled within three twice in the last two minutes, the Ospreys went 7-10 at the stripe to clinch the 71-68 victory.
