STOCKTON WINS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE GAME, 90-79

Richard Stockton (12-6, 6-1 NJAC) continued their red-hot play with a 90-79 victory over Ramapo (13-5, 4-3). The Ospreys won their fourth straight game, and they now have won nine of their last 10 contests. Five players scored in double figures for Stockton.

After spotting Ramapo an early 6-4 lead, Stockton ran off with a 15-5 run and never looked back during the first half. The Ospreys had the lead to as many as 19 points before the Roadrunners closed the half on a 9-2 spurt to close Stockton’s advantage to 46-34 at the break.

Bill McDonough (Spring Lake/St. Rose) and Rich Suhr (Toms River/Toms River East) scored 13 and 12 points respectively to offset Demetrius Boards’ 15 markers in the first stanza for Ramapo.

Ramapo closed the lead to just five points to open the second half before Stockton rattled off a 14-6 spurt to extend the lead to 10 points at 67-57 with just over 10 minutes remaining. Ibn Moye (Toms River/Central Regional) scored 10 of his 19 points during the second half to help Stockton raise its lead to 85-68 and seal the game for the Ospreys.

Suhr led Stockton and tied his career high with 24 points. McDonough totaled 20 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Moye also tied his career high with 19 points while DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden Co. Tech) chipped in with 14 points and 11 boards.

Darnell McCargo (Woodlynne/Collingswood) tallied 10 counters and a game-high six assists. Stockton shot 10-23 from behind the arc, with Suhr and Moye accounting for eight of the baskets.

Boards scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Ramapo. Will Sanborn added 16, Jermaine Emanuel scored 14 and Garret Thiel chipped in with 13 markers for the Roadrunners.
