Boxscore

Richard Stockton (15-7) had its seven-game winning streak snapped as Brooklyn College (14-7) defeated the Ospreys 73-64 in a non-conference road game.

DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden Co. Tech) led Stockton with a team-high 23 points and Darnell McCargo (Woodlynne/Collingswood) chipped in with 12 points.

Bill McDonough (Spring Lake/St. Rose) registered his ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 17 rebounds for the Ospreys.

Stockton built a 34-18 lead on the strength of a 20-2 run that featured seven points from Brown and four by McCargo. Although the first-half scoring ended with a steal and dunk by McCargo, Brooklyn had trimmed the Ospreys’ lead to nine, 36-27, at the break. Brown and McCargo paced Stockton with 13 and 10 first-half points respectively.

Stockton led 46-35 after a three-pointer by Brown with 16:40 on the clock but Brooklyn outscored the Ospreys 38-18 for the rest of the game. A layup by McDonough accounted for the only Stockton points in a span of 5:34 after Brown’s trey.

The Ospreys relinquished the lead at the 9:20 mark and trailed the rest of the way. They scored only 12 points in the last seven minutes of the game and suffered their first defeat since January 7 by a score of 73-64.
