Richard Stockton (16-7, 10-1 NJAC) got back on the winning track as they rolled to a methodical 80-57 victory over Rutgers-Camden (4-19, 1-10).

Five Ospreys scored in double figures and all 11 players for Stockton scored in the contest as the squad rebounded from having its seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday.

DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden County Tech) led Stockton with 13 points, all in the first half. Bill McDonough (Spring Lake/St. Rose) added 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

Darnell McCargo (Woodlynne/Collingswood) and Ibn Moye (Toms River/Central Regional) each scored 11 points while Rich Suhr (Toms River/Toms River East) chipped in with 10.

The first half saw the Scarlet Raptors jump out to an early 19-10 lead before Stockton mounted their charge. An 11-2 run tied the game at 21 after a Brown three-pointer capped the spurt. The Ospreys closed the half on a 14-2 stretch that saw them take a 42-31 lead into the locker room. Brown and McCargo led the way with 13 and 10 points respectively.

Rutgers-Camden was within 12 at 46-34 with 16:55 remaining in the second half, but that was as close as they would come. Stockton put the game away with a 15-5 spurt over the next 6:16. Adam Floyd (Northfield/Mainland) provided the biggest highlight of the game-clinching run by slamming home a teammate’s missed layup for a putback dunk.

Stockton’s defense forced 17 turnovers and the Ospreys dominated the glass with a 45-24 rebound advantage. Those two factors led to 24 points off turnovers and 21 second-chance points for the Ospreys in the 80-57 victory.

Kyle Bowman led Rutgers-Camden with five three-pointers and a game-high 19 points while teammate Woody Redding added 14 more as the pair were only Scarlet Raptors in double figures.
