OSPREYS WIN REGULAR SEASON FINALE 63-50

Richard Stockton (18-7, 12- NJAC) closed the regular season with a 63-50 victory over Kean that was their third straight win and 15th in the last 17 games.

The Ospreys also clinched the #1 overall seed and home-court advantage for the duration of the NJAC Tournament.

Ibn Moye (Toms River/Central Regional) hit four three-pointers and scored 16 points while Bill McDonough (Spring Lake/St. Rose) also tallied 16 points plus a game-high nine rebounds.

DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville/Camden Co. Tech) and Darnell McCargo (Woodlynne/Collingswood) chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Stockton got off to a slow start and Kean opened up a 22-14 lead 12 minutes into the first half. McDonough and Moye brought the offense to life with six and five points respectively as Stockton closed the period with a 16-4 run that put the Ospreys on top 30-26 at the break. Moye was perfect from the floor, shooting 4-4 overall including 3-3 from beyond the arc for 11 first-half points.

Kean closed within one early in the second half, but Brown sank two three-pointers as Stockton responded with 14-3 run that resulted in a 44-32 cushion with 13:15 remaining. The Ospreys led by at least seven from there and stretched the margin to 13 points twice. After a scoreless first half, Brown netted 10 markers in the second stanza to spur Stockton to the 63-50 triumph.
