OSPREYS ADVANCE TO ECAC FINAL WITH 75-43 WIN |

Third-seeded Richard Stockton (17-12) advanced to the ECAC Metro championship game with a 75-43 rout of seventh-seeded Stevens (14-14) in the tournament semifinals. Nine of Stockton’s 11 players scored points in the blowout. LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin/Overbrook) shot 8-11 from the floor and a perfect 4-4 at the line, finishing with a game-high 20 points. Che’Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) tallied 15 points and eight rebounds while Alex Nardoza (Woodbridge/ Woodbridge) tied her career high with nine points. Sarah Gibbs (Ocean View/Ocean City) hit two three-pointers and Brittany Muniz (Cherry Hill/CH East) added one as Stockton used an 11-4 spurt to open up a 31-21 lead. Stevens answered by scoring the last seven points of the first half to trim the Stockton advantage to three at 31-28. Thompson paced the Ospreys with nine points before the break. Stockton completely dominated the second half, outscoring the Ducks 44-15. Oliver scored 12 points in the first eight minutes as the Ospreys’ lead ballooned to 17 at 47-30. The margin continued to grow from there as Stevens shot a dismal 4-30 (13.3%) in the period. Stockton led by at least 21 points for the last 10 minutes of the game and cruised to the 75-43 victory. Oliver herself outscored Stevens 18-15 in the second stanza. |
