STOCKTON DROPS FIRST GAME IN FLORIDA 7-4 |

Richard Stockton (3-2) opened its annual trip to Florida with a game against Keystone College (PA) in which the Ospreys were downed 7-4. The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader but the second contest was rained out. Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) went 2-2 with a pair of doubles and an RBI while Justin Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) was 2-4 with a run and an RBI. Keystone grabbed a 2-0 lead with two unearned runs in the top of the third but Stockton came right back with two runs in the bottom half. Nick Scalise (Northfield/Mainland) produced an RBI with a sacrifice bunt and Justin Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) added an RBI single for a 2-2 tie. Keystone broke the game open with three tallies in the fifth frame and two more in the sixth for a 7-2 score. The Ospreys got two runs back in the bottom of the sixth as Wasco ripped an RBI double and Mark Jankowski (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.), but they were retired in order in the seventh inning and suffered the 7-4 defeat. |
