Men Fourth, Women Fifth at CTC Championships | ||||
The Stockton men’s cross country team finished fourth with 122 points while the women’s cross country team placed fifth with 133 points in the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships. The meet was held on the Stockton campus. Freshman Abad Akhtar (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) won the men’s 6k race with a time of 19:44.75 for his third victory of the year. Freshman Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) finished 19th in the women’s 5k race with a time of 21:30.74.
Joe Ennis (West Windsor/WW-Plainsboro South) earned a top-ten finish by placing seventh in 20:26.91 and Dan DiRocco (Allentown/Allentown) was the third Stockton men’s runner across the line, placing 37th with a time of 22:13.91. In the women’s race, Michelle Barile (Oak Ridge/Jefferson Twp.) finished 20th, two seconds and one spot behind Evangelist, at 21:32.02. Eight seconds later, Jacqui Wojtaszek (Jackson/Jackson) registered a time of 21:40.89 for 22nd place. |
