The Stockton softball team blanked Edgewood (WI) 8-0 in five innings (mercy rule) and then defeated Salve Regina (RI) 7-3 in Fort Myers to stay unbeaten on the season. Kaitlyn Corica (Iselin/JFK) pitched a two-hit shutout against Edgewood. Kelly Dodd (Linwood/Mainland) went 2-3 with a double and three RBI while Lindsay Connell (Rahway/ Rahway) was 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Already leading 3-0, Stockton scored five runs in bottom of the fifth inning to bring the eight-run rule into effect.

Suzanne Gorczynski (Aberdeen/St. John Vianney) went 1-2 with a triple and an RBI while Connell was 1-3 with an RBI in the 7-3 win over Salve Regina. The Ospreys scored three runs in the fourth inning for a 4-0 lead and added two more for a 6-0 advantage after five-and-a-half frames. In her first career start, freshman pitcher Brittany Giacomelli (Vineland/Vineland) earned the win, allowing three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts in a complete game.
