Sean McCallum (Vineland/Vineland) scored both goals for Richard Stockton (14-4-1) in its 2-0 road victory over FDU-Florham (4-14). The Ospreys won their third consecutive game and 11th in the last 12 matches. Freshman goalkeeper Lou Herring (Neptune/Neptune) recorded his second shutout of the season with seven saves. Stockton outshot FDU-Florham 27-9 and attempted six corner kicks while holding the Devils without a corner in the game. McCallum scored the only goal of the first half unassisted at 27:17 to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. In the second half, McCallum added his second marker of the night and ninth of the season at 59:57 with an assist by Pat Tolomeo (Ocean City/Ocean City). With the 2-0 triumph, the Ospreys posted their second consecutive shutout and extended their defensive streak to 228 minutes since they last allowed a goal. |
