Defending NJAC champion Richard Stockton (7-1, 1-0) opened league play with a 71-42 victory over Kean (3-4, 0-1).  Michael Farrow (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) led the Ospreys to their fourth consecutive win with a game-high 19 points.  Farrow went 8-9 from the field.  Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) scored 11 points off the bench and Omar Smith (Newark/Central) finished with 10 points and a team-high six rebounds.

Stockton reeled off 12 consecutive points to open up a 30-11 lead before Kean ended a five-minute scoring drought with a free throw late in the first half.  Farrow drained two jumpers and Brown sank a three-pointer during the offensive spree.  Farrow shot a perfect 5-5 from the floor and scored 11 first-half points to spark Stockton to a 38-15 lead at the break.

Stockton stayed on the attack in the second half and extended its advantage to 54-24 on a layup by Farrow with 9:15 remaining in the game.  Isham Poe (Westville/ Deptford) led the Ospreys down the stretch with all nine of his points in the final nine minutes, including two electrifying dunks and a three-pointer.  The Ospreys led by 31 twice in the closing moments and collected their fourth consecutive win, 71-42.
