Stockton 86, Ramapo 73

Richard Stockton (8-1, 2-0) outscored Ramapo (4-3, 0-2) 86-73 in an NJAC road game for its fifth consecutive win.  Michael Farrow (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) led the Ospreys with a team-high 22 points plus six rebounds.  Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI) tallied a career-high 19 points and added eight steals and four assists.  Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) and Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) scored 11 points apiece.  Stockton went 9-16 (56.3%) from three-point range in the victory.

Chad Davis (Millville/Sacred Heart) scored the first four points of the game and propelled the Ospreys to an 8-0 lead in the opening six minutes.  Ramapo later closed within 20-19 at the seven-minute mark but Stockton answered with an 18-4 run that resulted in a 38-23 advantage.  Lancioni, Brown and Hubbard sank one three-pointer apiece during the spurt.  Ramapo scored the final four points of the half, but Stockton still led 38-27 behind a game-high nine first-half points from Farrow.

Hubbard netted Stockton’s first five points of the second half and the Ospreys were on top 43-29 just 90 seconds into the period.  Ramapo rallied within four points twice in the next four minutes, but Stockton kept the lead.  After the Roadrunners closed the gap to 62-57 with 9:15 remaining, the Ospreys went on a decisive eight-point run during which Farrow scored three points and Brown drained a three-pointer.  The result was 70-57 lead with 8:01 to play, and Stockton led by at least seven for the rest of the game.
