#20 Stockton 82, #11 Carnegie Mellon 70

20th-ranked Richard Stockton (10-1) won its seventh consecutive game and dealt 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon (8-1) its first loss of the season, 82-70. Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) went 3-4 from three-point range and led Stockton with a career-high 19 points. Isham Poe (Westville/Deptford) scored a career-high 16 points and Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI) finished with 15 points and seven assists. The Ospreys took control with a dominant first half in which they forced 16 turnovers. 

After Carnegie Mellon jumped out to a 14-5 lead, Stockton reeled off 10 straight points and pulled ahead 15-14. Poe and Brown later netted five points apiece during a 14-5 run that gave Stockton a 34-25 advantage. The lead reached double digits at 38-27 after a layup by Lancioni and ballooned to 19 points, 51-32, when Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) sank a layup with 29 seconds left. Carnegie Mellon scored the last four points of the half and the Ospreys were on top 51-36 at the break. 

Carnegie Mellon pulled within 10 points twice by hitting three-pointers in the first three minutes of the second half, but Poe answered each with a trey of his own and the Ospreys led by at least 12 for the final 16:52. Stockton took its largest lead of the game at 77-57 after Poe hit a free throw with 4:38 remaining to cap a 9-2 run during which Lancioni tallied six points. Overall, the Ospreys shot 50.8 percent from the floor and out-rebounded Carnegie Mellon 36-21 in posting their seventh straight win, 82-70.
