#14 Stockton 100, Hunter 60

Six Ospreys cracked the double-digit mark in scoring as 14th-ranked Richard Stockton (14-2) defeated Hunter (4-9) 100-60. Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) paced Stockton, tallying 16 points and six rebounds in only 12 minutes. Also reaching double figures were Omar Smith (Newark/Central) and Michael Farrow (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) who scored 12, Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) and Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/ Neptune) who notched 11, and freshman Mike Pendleton (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) who scored 10 points.

The Ospreys were hot right from the opening tip, as they opened the game on a 20-5 run before the first team timeout. Massaquoi keyed the surge with seven points and four of his career-high seven assists. Stockton continued its hot shooting throughout the first half as they took a 50-23 lead into the locker room. Brown was perfect, going 3-3 from the field including 2-2 from three-point range plus 2-2 at the line for a game-high 10 points.

Stockton was able to extend its lead in the second half with the bench receiving the bulk playing time. The Ospreys hit the century mark on a layup by Pendleton with 23 seconds remaining in the 100-60 rout. Overall for the game, Stockton out-rebounded Hunter 44-33 and generated 24 turnovers while holding the Hawks to 35-percent shooting from the field.
