Boxscore
Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune)
scored a season-high 23 points and surpassed 1,000 points for his career as No. 10 Richard Stockton (21-2, 10-1) defeated College of New Jersey (8-13, 4-6) 77-61 for its ninth consecutive win. The Ospreys were paced by Hubbard’s three-point barrage, as the senior made 5-of-10 from behind the arc in the game. He finally eclipsed the 1,000-point mark with 4:58 remaining on a deep three-pointer from the wing hit nothing but net.

Four other Ospreys also reached double digits in the game. Omar Smith (Newark/Central) scored 18 points and snatched a game-high eight rebounds. Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI), Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) and Michael Farrow (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) each added 10 points for Stockton.

TCNJ started quickly and built a 10-4 lead in the first four minutes before Stockton took control of the game with a 19-4 run. Hubbard scored eight points during the spurt, which ended with a dunk by Chad Davis (Millville/Sacred Heart) for a 23-14 lead. The Ospreys stayed on top for the rest of the half and led 35-27 at intermission.

In the second half, TCNJ got as close as 43-40 with 13:28 to play, but Stockton responded by outscoring the Lions 28-9 over the next 8:30. Hubbard drained four treys during the explosion, the last of which gave him 1,000 points and produced the Ospreys’ largest lead at 71-49. With the 77-61 victory, Stockton avenged an earlier defeat to TCNJ that was its last loss before the current nine-game winning streak.
