Boxscore
Five Ospreys scored in double-digits as No. 6 Richard Stockton (29-2) defeated Farmingdale State (27-4) 103-60 in the NCAA sectional final and advanced to their first Final Four since 1987. The win also was the 17th straight for the Ospreys. Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI) led the Stockton offensive onslaught with 23 points and a game-high five assists. The junior point guard also made 5-of-6 shots from three-point range in tying his career scoring high.

Omar Smith (Newark/Central) made 7-of-11 field goals and finished with 21 points. Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) tossed in 17 points while Michael Farrow (Whiteside/Middle Twp.) recorded the only double-double of the game with 15 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Chad Davis (Millville/Sacred Heart) went 5-of-6 from the floor and finished with 11 points. Stockton shot a torrid 64.3 percent from the field and 84.6 percent at the free throw line.

Play was back-and-forth for the first two minutes, as a pair of Smith free throws tied the game at 7-7 with 18 minutes remaining in the first half. A pair of 10-0 spurts for the Ospreys gave Stockton a lead that it would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. The first run came after Smith’s free throws tied the game. The junior forward scored six of the Stockton’s 10 points, as the Ospreys extended their lead to 17-7 with 14:29 remaining in the first half.

The second 10-point burst came in the half’s final two minutes, with two Lancioni three-pointers, a layup by Davis and a buzzer-beating jumper by Hubbard that gave Stockton a 53-32 lead at halftime. Lancioni led all scorers with 16 first-half points, followed by Smith with 15 and Hubbard with 12. The Ospreys shot a blistering 65.4 percent from the field, including 5-10 from three-point range.

The Ospreys picked up where they left off to start the second half as a 13-0 run out of the locker room put the game completely out of reach. Hubbard scored five of the 13 points during the run, which ended with a layup by Davis that gave Stockton a whopping 66-32 lead. The Ospreys continued to score at will, with bench players Mike Pendleton (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) and John White (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) scoring seven points apiece in the final 1:49 as Stockton celebrated its 103-60 win.
