Richard Stockton sophomore Christine Velott (Moorestown/ Moorestown) was chosen the NJAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the second consecutive time and third occasion this season. Stockton senior Stephanie Krupa (Woodbury Hts./ Gateway) was named the NJAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Velott led Stockton to a 2-1 record last week by averaging a team-high 4.25 kills plus 2.67 digs per game. The outside hitter began with a team-best 14 kills against Montclair State. On Saturday, Velott posted two double-doubles, with 14 kills and 13 digs in a win over Neumann followed by a career-high 23 kills and 15 digs in a victory over DeSales. Velott, the 2008 NJAC Rookie of the Year, ranks second in the NJAC in kills (3.49 kpg).

Krupa was perfect in Stockton’s 8-1 win over William Paterson, winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles and teaming with Ana Estevez (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) for an 8-0 shutout in doubles to post two victories without dropping a single game. Krupa, who previously was named the NJAC Player of the Week on October 6, finished the fall season with a 12-5 singles record and a 10-2 mark in doubles matches.
