The facility is able to provide the equipment and other resources to conduct field work, basic laboratory work and computer work such as data processing and the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
Our Field Station facility is well equipped for faculty and student research throughout the year. Faculty members of the Marine Science program conduct their field research from laboratories located at the Field Station. Additional student–centered research programs are conducted throughout the academic year. These include an assortment of independent studies projects and team-oriented faculty research projects.
A primary mission of the Field Station is academic service to the science programs at Stockton. One of the major objectives of Stockton Science programs is to actively involve undergraduate students in faculty - led research and demonstrate that they can make contributions to the field. Follow the links below to learn more about our current research projects and how the faculty and staff create an environment of learning where research is integral to the overall experience.
