Multi-disciplinary communication and cooperation is essential to achieving optimal outcomes for patients who require orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.

Join us for Contemporary Orthopedic Care: The O.R. Through Rehabilitation: A day- long conference designed to promote a better understanding of the importance of coordination of care between the health-care professions who provide orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.
Presenters from various disciplines will examine advances in orthopedic surgery and post-op rehabilitation will be presented with the focus on patient outcomes from the prospective of the physician, occupational therapist, physical therapist and nurse.
Afternoon sessions include discipline-specific interactive breakout sessions that will analyze case studies and a multidisciplinary panel will discuss inter-professional collaboration for optimal patient outcomes will be presented.

Conference objectives:
Participants who attend this conference will be able to:

  1. Analyze the role of orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation team communication and collaboration for successful patient outcomes.
  2. Institute strategies to improve orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation team collaboration.
  3. Assess the impact of healthcare reform on orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation and how these reforms facilitate or inhibit optimal patient outcomes.
