Program Objective
Community of Scholars (COS) is a TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is dedicated to help students expand their horizons and realize their goals. COS provides services that support and enhance the student’s academic, cultural and social development at Stockton. This is achieved by nurturing the students’ intellectual, social and cultural outlook through a holistic approach in which the students’ involvement is of vital importance. For participating students, the Community of Scholars is a home away from home.

Eligibility
A student may qualify for admission into the program if the:

Student’s family income level falls within required federal government guidelines; or
Student is first-generation college (neither parent received a bachelor’s degree); or
Student has documented special needs.
